Bluesky Backpackers Hostel is located in the Charing Cross area of Central Glasgow and is a 10 - 15 minute walk from Queen Street and Central Rail Stations and a 20 minute walk from Buchanan Bus Station. The location is ideal for the backpacker who is up for a night out on town, being a stone's throw away from Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street. Glasgow is located in West Central Scotland and is very accessible from most major cities in the UK, Europe and North America. There are direct flights from Toronto, New York and most European and UK cities to Glasgow International Airport, located 10 miles to the west of the city centre. A fast, frequent bus service links the Airport to Central Glasgow and the journey time takes approximately 20 minutes. From Glasgow Central Station on Hope Street, take the 16, 18 and 57 buses and ask the driver for Berkeley Street, Charing Cross. On arrival at Glasgow Queen Street by train from Edinburgh, Aberdeen and the Highlands, take the low-level train from Queen Street (West Bound platform) and alight at Charing Cross Station. Bluesky Hostel is only a 3 minute walk away from the Glasgow Charing Cross Station. Glasgow is only 5 hours by train from London Euston and there are also frequent trains from other major UK cities such as Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Bristol and Penzance to Glasgow Central. Most long distance services to Glasgow are operated by Virgin Trains and it is advisable to book at least 2 weeks in advance.
